After being told by numerous surgeons in Canada that there was no surgery that could fix my back I contacted ONZ. Dr. Bierstedt performed a 3 level lumbar disc replacement and I am back doing all of the things I did before my injury ever happened and completely pain free. Dr.Bierstedt and the ONZ team are an amazing group of people that take the utmost care of their patients. I would recommend Dr. Bierstedt and the ONZ team to anybody looking for back surgery with the best possible care. Being a firefighter, it was important to me to be able to get back to protecting my community and I am now able to do this. Thank you for giving me my life back!
Dr Thomas Bierstedt prepared a two level ADR treatment option for my lumbar spine in May 2017 based on scans and documentation I sent. He advised me that his M6L ADR procedure would significantly reduce my back pain. I proceeded with the surgery on July 4, 2017, this was successful. Prior to Dr Bierstedts intervention, for over 5 years I was having about four major lumbar break downs with L4/5, L3/4 disc bulges every year, extremely painful and about a 12 week recovery period, each time.I was impressed by how smoothly the whole Germany process went, the travel planning, accommodation, hospital pre and post surgery care, the actual procedure and the rehab. Everything went like clockwork.I was on my feet walking around Hattingen hospital the day after surgery. Since returning to Australia I have not missed one day of work. I dont know how I can possibly thank Dr Bierstedt more for his professionalism, care and expertise. I would send my children to him if they needed this treatment.Now, 12 months after surgery and daily Pilates-physiotherapy that I do at home, I am able to play social sport and I expect to be able to play competition golf in a few more months. My lumber endurance is improving (albeit slowly) each and every month so I can now commit to travel related work tasks, such as interstate customer service. Prior to surgery I was not able to participate in many work or social tasks that I loved to do that others took for granted.January 2019 UpdateI have now returned to playing golf at competition level and inflammation soreness after playing sport has reduced to a manageable level. Is great to be able to get back on the course.

Meine Lebensgefhrtin bekam vom Dr. med. Thomas Bierstedt knstliche Bandscheiben in die HWS eingesetzt. Diese OP fand im Krankenhaus in Hattingen statt. Eine Woche spter suchten wir als Notfall eine Klinik in unserer Region auf, diese schickte uns sofort nach Hattingen, das Ende vom Lied das Wochenende drauf eine NOTOPERATION! Bakterien und Keime haben sich tief unter der Narbe eingenistet! Wo diese wohl her kamen Dr.med Bierstedt? Einen Rechtsanwalt werden wir einschalten! In Sie haben wir das VERTRAUEN verloren!
